In order to develop several interdisciplinary research projects relating to innovative timber structures, the Chair of Timber Structures IBOIS at the EPFL, in Lausanne, invites application for a Phd student, architect (male or female)
Profile :
A master's degree in architecture from a university is required. The candidate must show very good aptitudes for research duties and project management. Good writing and communication skills for cooperation with different partners are necessary. Furthermore, candidates should show creativity, cultural openness, good computer skills and should be fluent in written and spoken French and English.
The work will lead to a thesis with a topic in relation to the research subject. Applicants must fulfill the requirements for a Ph.D. at the EPFL Information about the Doctoral School can be consulted on the website : http://phd.epfl.ch
